Doves:: Love messengers that are magical and can divine the future. A white dove is good luck. To dream of a dove is to have a promise of happiness. Lovebirds are tiny African parrots that carry disease, so there are strict import laws.
Daisy:: From Greece: A wood nymph seen by the god of Spring. Was changed into a flower when she became frightened.
Violet:: From Greece: Aphrodite turned beautiful women blue and shrunk them into violets when Cupid refused to say that she was more beautiful.
Bachelor Button:: From Greece: The goddess of flowers, Flora made her devotee Kyanus into a flower at his death.
Hearts:: Were thought by the Romans to contain the soul. They are a symbol of love. (2, 3)
