Irish goddess and female satirist. In Ireland a satirist can cause physical wounding and death with their words. She met Crimthann and asked him to kill the god Cú Chúlainn in revenge for the slaying of her son. She found the god Cú Chúlainn, stripped naked before him and told Crimthann to attack. Loeg took out a stone and hit her across the luthan, so that her back was broken in two. She died soon afterwards. (102)
