Dutch Christmas Foods:  Hot chocolate and sneeuwballen (snowballs) are eaten. These are creampuffs with candied fruit. Letters of chocolate or almond pastry are given. Coffee and pastries are eaten after church on Christmas. For dinner is cocktail meatballs (bitterballen), Zoute bolletjes, vegetable soup, mussels over rice (mossel-rijstschotel), ham, asparagus, roast goose, turkey, hare or venison, currant pudding, and chocolate.
