Irish goddess and female satirist. In Ireland a satirist can cause physical wounding and death with their words. She met Crimthann and asked him to kill the god Cú Chúlainn: Hazel Hound in revenge for the slaying of her son. She found the god Cú Chúlainn, stripped naked before him and told Crimthann to attack. Loeg took out a stone and hit her across the luthan, so that her back was broken in two. She died soon afterwards. (102)
