Notes: The Book of Armagh (807–846 AD) contains most of the legends of Saint Patrick in a work called The Life of Saint Patrick by Muirchu. It contains: Dicta Patricii, sayings by Saint Patrick, Memoir by Tirechan, notes by scribes, records of the church, part of Saint Patrick’s Confession, a biography of Saint Martin and the Celtic text of the Vulgate New Testament. It is at Trinity College, Dublin. (18) If a legend comes from Muirchu it will have an “M” after it, Confession “C”.
