Welsh goddess and daughter of Pebin; she was the virgin footholder for the god Math: Bear until she was raped by Gilfaethwy. Math married her. (71)

Glanis, Glenys, Glynys, Glan, Ghleanna, Glynis (Pure Gem) Glê, Gel, Gla (Shining One) Gloew, Gloiu (Bright)
(pron. GLEN-is, GLIN-is) Triple Goddess of springs at Glanum in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France. Siluris Glanis is a catfish. Her limestone mountains are the Luberon, 12 miles south of Avignon-Avinhon rising out of the Rhône-Ròse: Red Alder Valley plain, running east-west between the Rhône-Ròse: Red Alder and Durance-Durença rivers. The mountains have olive, almond, kermes [red-dye] oak: and pine trees. They were painted by Vincent van Gogh and were the seat of the French Resistance. Glanum was not excavated until 1921.
